Pastor Doug has been pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Fremont since June, 2006. He and his family served as missionaries with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod’s Board for Mission Services in Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, and St. Petersburg, Russia, from 1995 to 2004.
Pastor Doug received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN, and a Master of Sacred Theology degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO.
He is the author of the book Released from Freedom, a novel available in paperback and digital form at eLectioPublishing.com. He has written other articles as well.
